Pine Laminate Flooring: Comfort and Affordability
Would like your house to have the look of elegance without even costing you a large part of the family budget? Because there is a solution and it is pine laminate flooring. This is one among the many innovations in floor technology that is starting to attract a large part of the American homes.
Its distinctive features include its striking natural-ness. Its textured, fine-grained surface almost looks as if you are looking at the real thing. Like if you prefer to have hardwood, brick, or ceramic, you name it, without even you spending it on those things, this is for you, as it skillfully imitates nature at its best.
It’s also resistant to wear, tear, and pressure because of its waxy protective coating called aluminum oxide, which is second only to diamond in hardness. This means that this will only cause you little time and money to maintain, as long as you also care for it, of course. But then again, it is not hard to care for at all. It just needs ordinary vacuuming and sweeping and an occasional wiping to keep the dirt away. Just a note, when cleaning, don’t use brooms. They carry the dirt across the floor causing scratches to damage you floor permanently. We surely don’t want this to happen. And since cleaning time makes you move tables, chairs and a whole lot of furniture around, I also advise you to place some protective foot covering in your chairs and tables so that the floor will not get scratch marks from the moving around.
What’s good about this type of floor is that it’s not like any other floor because it’s liquids spills, cigarette butts, shoe polish, paint, crayon, ink and nail polish easy to wipe. Just get a damp cloth or mop and simply let it’s bottom lap through the affected area and there you have it: no stains left. This is a good way to save your time and effort worrying about how to remove seemingly irremovable dirt.
Above all these features, this type of floor is also easy to install. Why? It doesn’t need glue or nail because it is specifically designed to fit tightly together with the innovative versalock technology, where seems are tightly locked to the present floor, keeping moisture out and providing for convenient walking.
White pine flooring was preferred before because of its association with sophisticated classical American style homes. It was later that we found brittle, easily chipped in the seams and very hard to handle and care for, indeed. But it can be duplicated by this laminate flooring technology without the brittleness and unmanageability of white pine. The same is true with antique pine flooring. If you want your house to achieve that look, you have to choose between engineered wood, solid wood, or laminate. But I will still opt for laminate because it saves precious investment.
I would say that pine laminate flooring is one of the best things that happened in interior design. It could allow you the freedom to attain the feel of the house you want, without hurting your budget or precious time with your family.
